Ship batteries to USA, is forbidden by Amazon Partner Carrier service?

Amazon claims that its Amazon Partner Carrier service prohibits shipping to USA those products they name as “dangerous goods”, in my case are Class 9 lithium batteries. However, when I try to simulate a shipment for them at my shipment menu, I can reach all the steps and even quote a box.

My current marketplace of origin is Mexico and I would like to ship batteries from here to USA for FBA inventory. My concern is that actually UPS or the carrier service could dismiss my shipment and actually charge me for it, not being able to deliver it when reaching USA. In Mexico we have no prior issue, as these batteries are able to be sold here in FBA and we comply all the global norms and required documentation, too.

Do you know what are the odds or real restrictions of shipping for FBA in USA with UPS or the partner carrier services from Mexico or foreign countries? I want to ship and replenish inventory there for FBA.
