Question about seller restrictions on items from Alibaba (new seller question)

Hey everyone – like many people starting out I’m pretty confused about all the rules/regulations. I’m trying to help my wife get a store up and running (we’ve been approved to sell on Amazon so now need some products).

My wife is interested in going through a manufacturer on Alibaba and getting our/her own brand.

So as an example (I’m sure most of you understand this without me describing it – but want to make sure I’m clear) – let’s say we want to sell titanium camping utensils. So we find a manufacturer and have them make them/inscribe them with our label (to then be sent to Amazon for FBA).

How would we go about determining whether or not we could sell (again just an example) titanium camping utensils? I’m having a hard time determining what is/isn’t restricted and want to make sure I understand before wasting time and money on items we can’t sell.
