Amazon denied my subscription fee refund request and closed my KDP account
I created my first Amazon seller account back in November. I was charged a $39.99 subscription fee even though I never signed up for the Professional seller plan.
During my onboarding Zoom call, the Amazon representative ensured me that I would not be charged a fee, so I filed a case. It was denied because “you have not been charged a subscription fee in the last 90 days.” This was false—I had been charged just 14 days prior.
All of my ensuing attempts to appeal have been denied, and recently, Amazon mysteriously closed my KDP account which consisted of just 3 notebooks that I created using Canva and had a total of 0 sales.
This was Amazon’s reasoning for closing my KDP account: “During a recent audit of your account, we found content and/or activities that are in violation of our Terms and Conditions.”
Is there any way to resolve this? Or should I just accept that I’m going to be out $39.99, 3 KDP titles, and be permanently barred from creating another KDP account?
