Amazon Prepaid Return Label: UPS Lost Package
So my customer used a prepaid auto-authorized amazon return label to ship back an expensive item, and UPS lost the package. Amazon seller support is useless and has no idea how to handle this; it would seem obvious to me that the seller would be protected, but Amazon won’t even provide a solution for the problem or state that I am covered as the seller. They keep saying “open a claim with UPS”, even though Amazon is the only party with the authority to do so since it’s an Amazon return label. Two seller support agents have told me not to refund anything until the return item Is received. Another amazon customer support agent called today asking why the buyer hasn’t been refunded…..I’m about to lose my mind over the incompetence. Has anyone else dealt with this situation? I’m hoping Amazon will cover the seller, since I ultimately expect this to end up as an A-Z claim.
