Buyer returned merchant-fulfilled order without product box.
We sold a remote-controlled car for $166 + 11.99 shipping, and sent it to the buyer. It actually cost $21.27 to ship with stated dimensions 19x13x6 3lb Texas to California with the label bought on Amazon.
Buyer returned it with reason “Bought by mistake” and no further comments, no further communication between buyer and us.
Originally, item was new in unopened box. Returned item was just the car and the remote. No product box. No instruction. Nothing else in an Amazon box, possibly the one we used to ship to the customer.
How do we handle this? Let Amazon refund and then file a SAFE-T claim? Refund with a high restock fee? Other?
Specifically Amazon states :
“Nonreturnable Items
…
Any product missing the serial number or UPC”
As it has no box, it was returned without a UPC, as well as used and in a different condition than ordered.
