Category ungate

I am planning on launching my first product. It is a product that is heavily advertised in the FBA but it is something I am passionate about and use myself. It is a night dental guard worn during sleep to prevent teeth grinding. I have never sold on Amazon and I understand it would be a challenge to get ungated for new sellers. I am sure this item is gated and I was wondering how can I go about getting ungated first before I purchase from China in bulk and find out I cannot sell. Thank you for your help.
