Custom orders- MIA customers!
So let me start with the handmade sub is pretty dead. So I’m posting here. This is a handmade item, so there is customization. To avoid people saying, I got my stuff but that’s not right, I want a refund. Instead, in the customization you have to type “yes” you understand you need to review your order is accurate before it will ship. I send artwork and the customer says yes or no for me to ship.
This hasn’t been a problem except once in several years. On that occasion, I found the person‘s phone number and reached out. Since then, I learned this is a pretty big no-no, so I’ve always said I wouldn’t do it again.
Well here I am. I have the materials. The order has started. But crickets from the customer. I need to know it’s correct to ship. Covid killed me, so I don’t want to eat costs, risk a bad review, or Amazon hammer.
Do I reach out with the phone number listed on their shipping, or cancel it and wait for them to re-order?
