Does a product’s manual have to be in the local language of the marketplace?
Ok, so for the past 2 years I’ve been selling 3 products on amazon in both ES, US, UK, IT, FR and DE. When I initially set up the listings, I made sure that the packaging language was local for each marketplace, meaning that in Germany, our product packaging is in German, etc. etc.
This has now turned everything into one big complex mess. Instead of having one “Master”listing across different marketplaces combining all reviews, I essentially have 6 different products listings for the same product. In Germany, I have 700 reviews, in Italy I have 1500, but they are not all combined…
Now I am wondering if it would be possible for me to simply ship the english packaging products to ALL marketplaces, and simply add a small text to the packaging in all languages saying something like “Download instructions in your local language at www.com/instructions”. Would this be enough? I have tried for the past couple of hours to figure out exactly what the requirements are for local languages and instructions, but I cant find anything.
Looking very much forward to be hearing from anyone!
