LLC for Canadians?

Hi everyone! I am hoping that someone can give me some advice because I am getting conflicting information. I am Canadian wanting to sell on Amazon USA. I am following the wholesale model. If I open an LLC in the States, I will be taxed by both the USA and the Canadian governments. So I was told to get incorporated in Canada and then with that business number, I should apply for an EIN for the States. What did you guys do? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
