Ninth Circle of Hell trying to get “Restricted Product” reactivated

I work for a company that listed a product on Amazon via FBA. It was removed and we were told “This product has been identified as requiring a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Certificate of Conformity (COC) demonstrating compliance with federal emissions requirements.”

This product is essentially a power inverter that you hook up to your vehicle and it can provide electricity. It does not contain an engine or a battery and does not produce any emissions.

I keep trying to explain to Amazon support that this product does not produce emissions and therefore is exempt from this. Each time they respond with the same stock answer continually telling me the same thing.

When I spoke to someone on the phone with seller support, they told me that the team who can reactivate our listing does not have phone support.

I just keep going around and around with what I assume is an algorithm or a lunatic. How can I get a human to actually look at this and fix it?
