Questions around FBA prep & fulfillment on Seller central
I’m selling a product (a book I made) on Amazon Seller Central, and am sending my first shipment of the product to fulfillment centers. (not KDP because the book has extra things that come with it)
I’ve packaged the product itself according to Amazon’s own rules re: poly bags, warning, etc.
I’ve also signed up for FBA, and chosen ‘prep not required’ (since the item itself is contained and polybagged properly, though ISN’T in a “shippable envelope yet”) and Labeling by Amazon (the product has its own barcode (ISBN) and title but no official ‘label’)).
I’ll be sending 3 boxes of units to 2 locations they requested upon generating an inventory replenish form.
A few questions around all this since I’m struggling to find good info: 1. Was I correct in assuming Amazon needs to do labeling if I don’t want to go through this myself, even though the product (a book) shows an ISBN/barcode and title on the book itself? 2. Does Amazon put items into an envelope or shipping box (with all the usual amazon branding etc.) by default as a PART of labeling? I don’t want the product to be shipped as it is, but within an envelope I’m hoping Amazon will provide as a part of either labeling, or prep (which I did not sign up for, yet) 3. Because I’m doing FBA, will this qualify the product for Prime online? If not, what do I need to do to achieve that?
Thanks for any help. Admittedly seller central is a bit overwhelming at first blush and I’m making sure I have my product sorted out before sending their way.
