Samples from China

Had anyone ordered samples lately and had them tell you we have to hold off on sending samples because of some sort of Chinese holiday? Don’t understand why that would be an issue… Anyone had this happen to them? Not trying to be ignorant, just wondering if someone else had experienced this. Thanks in advance!!!!!
