Variation theme of competitors doesn’t make sense

I have a product I am creating listing for and to me package quantity makes the most sense. (it is a product that comes in a single, 4 and 12 pack).

I have the listings all set and ready for inventory, but I just noticed that my competitors have their pack sizes listed as “styles” and not package quantity.

Should I he worried? From what I understand the variations won’t show up on the listings (customer facing) until I have inventory on the child listings, so I can’t confirm if they are set up correctly.
