What happens if my competitor who’s listing I’m on leaves the market?
Currently in a price war with a Chinese reseller of a product and I have zero idea what I’m doing. This product costs be under 80 cents per unit and sells for $9 currently. I doubt it’s in my best interest but if I were to theoretically drop my price all the way down to my break even or even slightly below for a period of time, and my competitor were to decide it was no longer worth it and liquidates his inventory, what would happen to the listing. Do I now “own” it, aka can I edit it however I’d like? What happens if I add a logo to my product and try to turn it into a branded listing?
Before anyone advises me on this I should mention that I am fairly certain this Chinese seller is not my manufacturer. That’s not to say they don’t have a better deal than me and would win this theoretical race to the bottom. Just curious about how exactly listings work in situations like this
