Amazon Advantage issues
So I’ve had an Amazon Advantage account for over a decade now. It’s worked fine up until recently. Though there have been no issues with fulfilling orders or quality, Amazon sent back almost all of the inventory they had in stock this month. They shut down the dashboards so that I can’t even see if they still have anything in stock. They haven’t placed any orders for additional stock, and they haven’t purchased the standard single copy of the latest book, which was loaded on August 26th. I have spoken with them, the book has been successfully loaded to Amazon, and there are no issues. However, no orders from Amazon. And of course, sales are WAY down.
The latest book is sold by 3rd party vendors on the page I created for Amazon Advantage. I fail to see how that’s possible, given that a local printer printed the book and all copies are at my house, waiting for an amazon order.
I know that Amazon doesn’t allow any new publishers into Advantage these days, which seems to indicate its death knell. I’m struggling to determine if I should go to Marketplace, or KDP or if there are other options I should be exploring. Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated.
