Any thoughts on the new INFORM consumers act?

I read through it, and it seems like Amazon already does everything for the new laws for the most part. This is already passed and will be enforced in June. I really don’t think it’s necessary to disclose if a seller makes over $20,000 a year to the buyer.

If I’m reading it correctly the buyer also is given a sellers phone number and Email, and must be allowed to communicate without a marketplace interference.

I believe in that same paragraph it says the seller must disclose where they bought their inventory from at request of the buyer. I’m sure this will mostly be competition.

Any disclosures not followed the seller can be suspended within 10 days. The fines are massive, almost almost $50k per violation.

I assume seller insurance is going to increase dramatically. I feel like this is just a way for big business to keep crippling small business and lawyers to milk out more money with baseless threats. I really don’t believe buyers give a shit about any of it.

I really don’t want to buy a burner phone mostly for Vorys spam.
