Ordering goods from China and then slapping a patent on it

There is a product that I’m selling, generically ordered from China. It is very popular in the UK and USA, with no branding. An Amazon Seller has ordered these from China and has slapped a UK patent number on it. He has now reported my listings, saying that he has IP rights over the design of the product.

Isn’t this extremely wrong? What can I do?
