Something is not adding up…

New seller here.

I am in the fun scenario of not having a buy box for my customized products. Which makes since, I haven’t won the box yet! So, to win the buy box you need to show amazon you’re a good seller by getting consistent sales, and positive shipping on time. Great, easy enough! I read some forums on how “no one wants to click see all buying options” and having that will basically give you no sales.. So what is it? Do I run ads for 2 weeks with not a single impression, or do I keep this product up for an entire year and wait for a sale?
