Starting FBA, do I need LLC for private labeling?

Before I purchase my GS1 barcodes, do I need LLC to sell items on Amazon that have been private labeled with my brand name? My product is not being sold already on Amazon but have seen similar items on Etsy. Is there any issues I can run into from not doing so. What could benefit me from having an LLC? Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
