Struggling to make a profit on Amazon as a handmade business owner in India – any tips?

I have been selling on Amazon for 4 months, but I am only earning one-third of my sales and not making any profit. While I have tried platforms like Meesho and Flipkart, they are not as good as Amazon. Can you suggest any tips or other marketplaces consider? Thinking to create a website but I’m not sure if that would be a great idea. The one thing I love about selling on Amazon is that I don’t have to go out to send the package every time I got an order. But they charge too many fees and after deducting all the fees I earn nothing.
